SNC's Space Systems California consists of three facilities located in or within driving distance of Poway, California, 15 miles north of San Diego. The facility on Stowe Drive houses a 25,000 square foot facility that is home to the Space Systems California team and includes our Small Spacecraft Assembly and Test facility (SAT) with a 1,800 square foot Class 100,000 clean room, avionics development lab, machine shop, mechanical assembly lab, and mission operations center. 
| The Iavelli Way location houses our hybrid propulsion CCB (Common Core Booster) pouring and testing facility, and is home to our new fuel formulation and composite lab including our thrust chamber and nozzle fabrication facility. | |
The Lakeside test site is our Space Technology Development Center (STDC), located about 8 miles south east of the main facility in Poway. The site comprises a thrust stand, operations trailer, fire suppression system, fluid storage and delivery system, and data recording system. 
| Initially sized to meet the needs of the SpaceShipTwo program, the Lakeside Test facility will eventually be upgraded to accommodate firing hybrid motors with up to 250,000 lbf of thrust. |
